BIOGRAPHY OF MARIO BIONDI
From an early age he shows a passion for music. At the age of 12 he began as a chorister in church and, through various experiences and a lot of apprenticeship around Italy, he traveled a professional path that seems to belong more to an overseas singer. He perfects himself in the English language, which becomes the language he sings with. A shift worker in recording rooms for niche labels, from 1988 he began to support famous big names of the time, such as Ray Charles. Passionate about soul music, he forges his particular vocal timbre by listening to the records of characters such as Lou Rawls, Al Jarreau and Isaac Hayes. The turning point came in 2004 with This Is What You Are. The single was designed for the Japanese market, but also arrives on the European radio table. The famous English DJ Norman Jay surprisingly inserts him in the lineup of his program at BBC1 and the voice of Mario Biondi, even before his name, spreads throughout the old continent.
