BIOGRAPHY OF MARTINA GEDECK
Actress. He spent his childhood in Landshut and later moved to Berlin, where he attended the gymnasium. Before the end of the course of study he goes to America for a year and then returns to Berlin to enter the University. From 1982 to 1986 she attended the Max Reinhardt seminar at the Academy of Arts and it was here that she received her training as a theater actress. After his debut at the Frankfurt theater, he performed in Basel, Berlin, Hamburg and again in Frankfurt. In 1986 she began working for television and since then she has been the protagonist of about thirty TV films and numerous series and miniseries. Her film debut dates back to the late 1980s and although most of the films she has portrayed are unreleased in Italy, she has earned several awards at home, including a Golden Ribbon at the Hesse Film Festival in 1992 for the her performance in Jörg Grünlere’s “Krücke”, the Deutscher Filmpreis in 1997 as Best Supporting Actress for “Das Leben ist eine Baustelle” by Wolfgang Becker and “Rossini” by Helmut Dietl, the Adolf Grimme Prize in 2002 for “Romeo” by Hermine Huntgeburth and in 1998 for “Der Neffe” by Gabriela Zerhau, “Lea Katz – Die Kriminalpsychologin: Einer von uns” by Konrad Sabrautzky and “Bella Block” by Markus Imboden (the latter also earned him the Golden Lion as Best Supporting Actress at the Verleihung des Goldenen Löwen) and three Bayersche Filmpreis: one in 1994 for Jo Baier’s “Hölleinsegretl”, one in 1999 for Anno Saul’s “Grüne Wüste” and one in 2000 for Dominik Graf’s “Deine besten Jahre” . In 2001 he starred in the film “Ricette d’amore” by Sandra Nettelbeck alongside Sergio Castellitto. Until November 1999 she lived with the actor Ulrich Wildgruber, who committed suicide.
