It’s been 23 years since The Parent Trap entered our lives. And while Lindsay Lohan captured our hearts with her endearing dual role, fans of the 1961 remake may forget about the infamous Bell Scene.
And it looks like neither Elaine Hendrix and Lisa Ann Walter. The two actresses and now close friends have revisited their roles as Meredith Blake (Hendrix) and Chessy (Walter) and remade the scene in a now viral TikTok.
Although the bell is bigger and Hendrix isn’t sitting on top of Dennis Quaid, who played Nick Parker in the movie, the clip still hits the same hilarious notes.
Since the film, Hendrix and Walter have not only kept in touch, but they have also become extremely close over the years.
“Everyone in this cast was nice and sweet and,” Walter told NBC’s Today. “I have remained friends with – obviously this one is not only my best friend, I have officially adopted her as my sister.”
And as for working with young redhead Lohan, Walter said she was “incredibly talented.”
“But also super talented in terms of working together and really sweet,” she said in today’s interview. “When she walked in and out of the make-up room it was always ‘Thank you very much’ and she was hugging everyone. She was so grateful for the experience, and a pleasure to be with her, really sweet. and fun. ”
Meanwhile, Hendrix remembered dancing together since the two had a lot of scenes together and recounted another iconic scene involving a lizard.
“I like to think that people want to keep a magical romance in the movies,” she said. “So I always say, ‘Look, there’s a real lizard. There’s a toy lizard, and there’s a computer lizard in this whole sequence. Go back and look and see if you can figure it out.”
