BIOGRAPHY OF REMO GERMANI
Singer. After studying electronics, although he found a job as a bank clerk, he did not give up on cultivating his true passion, music. During a performance at the Teatro Smeraldo in Milan, he improvises as soloist of his group and gets so much success that he soon becomes one of the most popular artists of Italian night clubs. Noticed by maestro Ezio Leoni, he signs a recording contract with Jolly and in 1962 his “Baci” turns out to be one of the hits of the moment. On the wave of success, the following year his “If I win 150,000,000 million” was chosen as the theme song for the show “Canzonissima” conducted by Peppino De Filippo. In 1964 he went on stage for the first time in Sanremo with “Stasera no no no” and, in the same year, thanks to his singing success, he was chosen by Marcello Giannini and Carlo Infascelli to interpret alongside Ave Ninchi, Carlo Dapporto, Ornella Vanoni and Edoardo Vianello the “musicarello” “The boys of hully-gully”. In 1965 he presented himself at the “Cantagiro” with the song “Give me the proof”, which became a real catchphrase, so much so that in the same year Lucio Fulci called him to interpret it in his “Come inguaiamiamo l’opera”, interpreted by Franco Franchi and Ciccio Ingrassia. In 1965 he participated in Tullio Piacentini’s “008 Operation Rhythm” alongside Luigi Tenco, Gianni Morandi and Peppino Di Capri and in “This crazy, crazy world of song” by Bruno Corbucci and Gianni Grimaldi. In the seventies his success begins to wane in Italy and the singer allows himself to tour all over the world, even in Romania, Russia, Canada, Spain, France, Hungary and the Far East. After living for a period in the USA, in 1978 he returned to Italy and, after moving to Vigevano, he founded Radio Ducale City. He died at the age of 72 after a long illness.
