BIOGRAPHY OF ROSEMARIE DEXTER
Actress. Born of English parents, she arrived in Italy in the late 1950s, determined to achieve success in the world of cinema. For the debut, however, she has to wait until 1963, when the director Ugo Gregoretti chooses her to interpret Lucia in “Omicron”, alongside Renato Salvatori. The following year she is the protagonist of “Juliet and Romeo” by Riccardo Freda and in the same year she works with Mario Monicelli in his “Casanova 70”, thus having the opportunity to act alongside Marcello Mastroianni, Virna Lisi, Marisa Mell and Michèle Mercier. In 1965 the most important role of his career arrives, that of Mortimer’s sister in “For a few dollars more”, Sergio Leone’s spaghetti western. In 1967 he was in the cast of “For love … for magic”, next to Gianni Morandi, and in 1974 in that of “My God, how I fell down!” by Luigi Comencini. Her beauty did not only appeal to the world of cinema and at the end of the seventies she was persuaded to pose naked for the magazine “Playboy”. Soon after he decides to leave the world of entertainment and retires to private life preferring anonymity. She was found dead at the age of 65 in the house of Recanati, in the Marche region, where she had been living for some time, as a guest of the Leopardi family.
