Actress. Theater actress, she starred in some short films before reaching, at the age of 43, her first feature length ‘Linha de Passe’ (2008) by the Brazilian Walter Salles. The role she plays, a cleaning lady who raised four children from different fathers alone, and struggles with the difficulties of a new pregnancy, earned her the award for best female interpretation at the 61st Cannes Film Festival.
