Andrew Giuliani – yeah that Andrew Giuliani. He is Rudy Giuliani’s child. You know, the one who made $ 95,000 a year to serve as “the Trump administration’s liaison with the sports community.” Now he wants to take this invaluable experience to become the next governor of New York State.
On Tuesday, the 35-year-old announced his candidacy for the 2022 election. He will run for the GOP nomination in a bid to take over as governor from Democrat Andrew Cuomo, who has become embroiled in multiple scandals involving sexual harassment and false statements about the deaths of the Covid-19 retirement home.
Giuliani told CNN he is running “for all New Yorkers,” but given his close ties to Trump and, well, his father, that could be a lost argument for many New York residents.
If his campaign looks like that savage TV appearance in defense of his father last month, it should make quite a show.
During a wild 10-minute back-and-forth with Erin Burnett, Andrew looked less than dignified as he deflected questions, made accusations, and exposed conspiracy theories, including one about the judge who signed the search warrant for the raid on his father’s home.
“Who appointed the judge?” Andrew asked Burnett. “President Barack Obama! You have a judge appointed by Obama who signed this warrant while no other judge would sign this warrant!
To which the CNN host replied: “Do you have proof that no other judge would sign the warrant?”
He didn’t, of course.

I’m old enough to remember when people had a track record of having accomplished anything in life before running for high office as governor of New York. Now we have Andrew Giuliani, who wants to be governor and has the record of having done absolutely nothing.
