BIOGRAPHY OF VEERLE BAETENS
Veerle Baetens studied Dramatic Art at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels. By the time she graduated, in the year 2000 she already had some appearances in plays and musicals. Her first successful performance on stage came with the musical Pippi Longstocking in 2005, where she played the lead role. Parallel to subsequent television work, he played important roles in two Hans Herbots films: Long Weekend and Stormforce. On television she starred in Sara, the Flemish transposition of the international telenovela Ugly Betty, and in the crime series Code 37. With the spin-off Code 37: The Movie, she appears in movie posters as the main attraction, a status that continues with Alabama Monroe – Una love story (The Broken Circle Breakdown) and The Verdict. Her international career took off with a role on the BBC television series The White Queen.
