BIOGRAPHY OF LUC BESSON

Director, screenwriter and producer. His parents, scuba diving instructors, are forced to travel frequently due to their work, so young Luc develops a passion for the marine environment that will affect him throughout his life. During one of these trips, at the age of seventeen, he has an accident that ruins his plans: he will no longer be able to dive and become a marine biologist specializing in the study of dolphins. He returns to Paris, where he begins to take an interest in cinema, then at nineteen he moves to Hollywood to learn the techniques of American cinema. This experience shaped him deeply and, not surprisingly, he was considered the most “American” French director of the 90s.
