BIOGRAPHY OF DAVID BOREANAZ
David Boreanaz was born in Buffalo, New York, on May 16, 1969. The son of an Italian-born television meteorologist, Dave Roberts (aka Dave Thomas Boreanaz), and Patti Boreanaz, a travel agent, David grew up in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he moved with his family at the age of 9. During high school he was a keen athlete on his school’s football team. In 1991 he graduated in film and photography from Ithaca College, a private institution in the State of New York, and immediately went to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career.
Start with small roles, including a guest star on the sitcom Married … with children. Success comes in 1997, when WB entrusts him with the role of co-star – the mysterious and fascinating vampire Angel – in Buffy of Joss Whedon. Boreanaz gets the part after being introduced to producer Marti Noxon by a neighbor, who like Whedon is struck by her “enormous beauty”. In Buffy he joins another emerging actress, Sarah Michelle Gellar. The character conquers the public, to the point that the producers decide to give him more space with a spin-off, Angel, aired from 1999 until 2004 for five seasons.
He stars in some movies, including The Crow: Cursed Prayer is The Mighty Macs. It is on TV, however, that it continues to garner support. Immediately after Angel’s conclusion, FOX hires him for the role ofFBI agent Seeley Booth in the crime drama Bones. Meanwhile he also stars in three episodes of the first season of the anthological drama Full Circle, written by Neil LaBute, and voices the animated version of himself in an episode of Family Guy is American Dad!. Of Bones he directs several episodes, including number 200, but this is not his first experience behind the camera. It begins with Angel in 2004, followed by an episode of The Finder, the short spin-off of Bones.
In 2010 and 2011 among the 20 sexiest men in the world, Boreanaz is married to actress and former Playboy bunny Jaime Bergman, with whom he has two children. The two married in 2001, two years after the actor divorced his first wife, Ingrid Quinn. In 2010 he becomes involved in the Tiger Woods scandal, finding himself forced to admit that he had an extramarital affair with Rachel Uchitel while his wife was pregnant. Emily Deschanel, her co-star on Bones, is among her best friends.
