Christy Carlson Romano has revealed the reason she is no longer friends with Shia LaBeouf.
On Tuesday (August 24), Even Stevens’ alum answered everyone’s burning question about what happened between her and her onscreen brother via a YouTube video.
“To be honest, I don’t even really know if we’ve ever been really friends,” admitted Romano. “We were colleagues. We had really good chemistry on screen. People thought we were real life brother and sister. And in real life, I had an influence on what this guy did.”
“I didn’t know a lot of stories about where they lived at that time and the hardships they had seen and stuff like that,” she added. Fans got a glimpse into LaBeouf’s personal life in the 2019 film Honey Boy, which was inspired by his difficult relationship with his father and his mental health issues.
