Britney Spears’ manager just spilled a whole cup of tea

Larry Rudolph, the longtime manager of struggling pop star Britney Spears, has resigned his post after 25 years overseeing the singer’s career. He further claims that Spears will announce his official retirement soon.

Rudolph began representing Spears in 1995, at the start of his pop star career. He has stayed with her ever since, with the exception of a brief hiatus between 2007 and 2008. Now, in an open letter to his co-curators, James P. Spears and Jodi Montgomery, Rudolph has announced his reasons for leaving the Spears’ job, and he added his own opinions to the ongoing debate over his guardianship.

“It’s been over two and a half years since Britney and I last communicated, when she informed me that she wanted to take an indefinite break from work. Earlier today, I learned that Britney had expressed her intention to officially retire, ”he wrote in his letter posted on Deadline.

“I was initially hired at Britney’s request to help manage and assist her in her career,” he continued. “And as a manager, I think it’s in Britney’s best interests that I resign from her team as my professional services are no longer needed.”

“I will always be incredibly proud of what we have accomplished in our 25 years together. I wish Britney all the health and happiness in the world, and I will be there for her if she ever needs me again, as I always have been, ”concludes Rudolph.

Rudolph’s resignation comes at a pivotal moment in Britney’s ongoing tutelage saga.

Last month, the emotional Spears made a lengthy statement in court calling his father’s control over his life and career “abusive.” She also claimed that she had been lied to about her own rights to terminate guardianship.

“But my precious body, which has worked for my father for the past 13 years, trying to be so beautiful and beautiful,” Spears said in court. “So perfect. When he works me so hard. When I do everything I’m told and the state of California allowed my dad – an ignorant dad – to take his own daughter, who doesn’t have a role with me that if I work with him, they delayed the whole class and allowed him to do this to me.

She added: “It gives way too much control to these people I worked for. They also threatened me and said: If I don’t go, then I have to go to court. And it will be more embarrassing for me if the judge publicly releases the evidence we have. “

Britney Spears endured the guardianship following an involuntary psychiatric internment in 2008. Although she had professional success thereafter, a canceled residency in Las Vegas in 2019 gave rise to rumors that the father of Spears had forced her to perform against her will. These rumors helped usher in the #FreeBritney movement, a fan campaign to free her from her tutelage.
