BIOGRAPHY OF CHRIS EVANS
Christopher Robert Evans was born on June 13, 1981 in Boston.
Like many others before him, he discovered a passion for acting during his high school years, attended at Lincoln-Sudbury Regional High School: and once he graduated he flew to New York to study at the famous school of Lee Strasberg.
To keep himself in the Big Apple, he found a job at a casting agency, thus forging ties with numerous agents who over the years came in handy: and if up until then Chris had only acted in the theater, once in New York his focus became cinema and television.
On the small screen it debuts in 2000 taking part in some episodes of TV series like The fugitive is Opposite Sex; in the same year, his first film appearance is instead that in the role of Judd in the family drama The Newcomers.
The following year he appears naked and covered in whipped cream It’s not another stupid American comedy; in 2004 is among the protagonists, with Scarlett Johansson, of Perfect Score and appears in the cast of the thriller Cellular, in which he played the boyfriend of what was really his partner at the time: Jessica Biel.
True fame, however Evans, however, arrives in 2005, when he is chosen for the role of Johnny Storm, the Human Torch, in the unfortunate Fantastic Four by Tim Story, a role he will also reprise in the sequel to 2007 The Fantastic Four and the Silver Surfer.
Ironically, however, today Evans is identified with another superhero, not registered DC Comics but Marvel: since 2011, in fact, it is Steve Rogers, Captain America, in all films belonging to the Marvelverse.
Chris Evans, however, he is not only a cinecomic actor, and also demonstrates a certain versatility: among the titles to remember in his filmography there are also science fiction Sunshine of Danny Boyle, the dark metropolitan noir The night does not wait (scripted by James Ellroy), the comedy A nanny’s diary (in which she is again with her friend Scarlett Johansson, as in the cinecomic Marvel).
Among his best performances we remember the ironic role of Lucas Lee in Scott Pilgrim vs the World, that of the nutty killer Mr. Freezy in The Iceman and above all that of Curtis protagonist of Snowpiercer by Bong Joon-Ho.
Former vegetarian, raised in the Catholic faith but interested in Buddhism and supporter of LGBT rights, Evans release the tension with the tap, taught by his mother dancer.
In 2015 he made his debut behind the camera with the romantic Before We Go, which he performed alongside the English Alice Eve.
In 2016 he is again Steve Rogers / Captain America in Captain America: Civil War, but he will also find his fellow adventures in Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and in the twenty-second chapter Avengers: Endgame (2019). This cinecomic series, which also includes cameos in Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Captain Marvel (2019), is interrupted exclusively by a drama film, Gifted – The gift of talent (2017), in which Evans is the uncle of the protagonist, the little one McKenna Grace, who plays a girl with above-average intelligence.
