Daniel Craig will not leave any of his millions to his children

He might be making some money as 007, but Daniel Craig will apparently not leave any of his millions to his family.

In a recent interview with Candis Magazine, the James Bond actor revealed that he has no plans to leave a legacy for his children.

“I don’t want to leave big sums to the next generation. I think the legacy is quite unpleasant, ”he shared. “My philosophy is to get rid of it or give it away before you go.”

He added, “Isn’t there an old adage that if you die rich you have failed?

Craig also shared the story of a wealthy industrialist named Andrew Carnegie who donated his fortune. “I think Andrew Carnegie donated what today’s money would be about $ 11 billion, which shows how rich he was because I bet he kept some of it too,” did he declare.

Craig has a reported net worth of around $ 160 million. He was reportedly paid $ 25 million for his fifth and final Bond film, No Time To Die, which debuts in October.

The actor shares his 29-year-old daughter Ella with his ex-wife Fiona Loudon. The couple married between 1992 and 1994. In 2011, Craig married actress Rachel Weisz. They welcomed a girl in 2018, whose name has not been made public.

The movie star has done her best to keep her family life out of the public eye.

“That’s not really what I should be complaining about, because I also have huge benefits from being who I am,” Craig explained. “But the point is, privacy is an extremely important part of my life, and being a… celebrity… makes me nervous, actually. There is one side of my life that I choose not to share. and not to argue. I think people’s privacy is private, and that’s it. “
