BIOGRAPHY OF DEBORRA-LEE FURNESS
Deborra-Lee Furness was born on December 8, 1955 in Perth, Australia, and spent her childhood in Melbourne.
She moved to New York to study acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, where she graduated in the early 1980s. She landed a role in the television series Falcon Crest, then returned to Australia to continue her acting career.
Achieves success in 1988 with the film Shame, in which she plays the young Asta, and in 1995 joins the cast of Correlli tv series, where he acts alongside Hugh Jackman.
After less than a year, the two get married on the outskirts of Melbourne, and later also adopt two children. Furness is involved in numerous campaigns in support of orphans and adoption. At the cinema he remembers above all for the musical The Newsboys (1992) and for Australian films Jindabyne (2006), Beautiful – The beauty that kills (2009) and Blessed (2009) with Miranda Otto. In 2010 he voiced the snowy owl Barran in the animated film directed by Zack Snyder, The kingdom of Ga’Hoole – The legend of the guardians.
