Is a war of words being waged on social media by the Spears sisters? That’s what some fans think after concluding that Britney Spears’ latest post appears to be aimed directly at her younger sister.
The gossip machine started swirling immediately after Jamie Lynn Spears posted a cryptic selfie on her Instagram feed, just hours after Britney called her for “the show.”[ing] at an awards ceremony and play[ing] MY SONGS to the remixes “in a fiery post, adding:” My so-called support system has hurt me a lot !!!! This guardianship killed my dreams … “
“The peace of the Lord be with you and your spirit,” Jamie Lynn wrote in a since-edited caption alongside a mirror selfie featuring her wearing a red firefighter button, miniskirt and matching stiletto heels.
Then Brit’s next post quickly followed. On the surface it seemed pretty innocuous – just another compilation video of the singer dancing at home, this time to Billie Eilish’s “Bad Guy”. But the legend caught the attention of fans. He was saying, in part, “May the Lord envelop your little ass with joy today.”
Still, the two sisters appear to have changed their respective legends after rumors of a feud went viral. (Jamie Lynn’s is just a series of emojis; Britney simply deleted the phrase in question, leaving the rest of the caption untouched.)
It seems, however, that Spears’ older sister has vented her frustrations. On Monday she was back to Zen, posting a silly yoga meme and writing, “Okay… so I rested a lot last week… said what I had to say… and life goes on… where is my yoga mat now ?? “
