Anne Heche made the news this weekend by posting a video on TikTok in which she did a subtle dig on his famous ex-girlfriend, Ellen DeGeneres.
In the video, Heche took a trip down memory lane noting some of her biggest red carpet looks over the years.
But the moment that caught everyone’s attention came right in the middle of the video, when she arrived at the outfit she wore at the 1998 Golden Globes.
“Do you want to know why I look like a hippie?” she said. “Because Ellen didn’t want me to dress sexy.” She then gave the look a zero out of 10 and a big thumbs down, adding, “Bye, no!”
Heche and DeGeneres dated 1997-2000. The couple met at a Vanity Fair party just as Heche’s career was taking off and just before DeGeneres went public on the cover of Time.
Last summer, at the height of Ellen’s toxic workplace scandal, Heche was asked by Mr. Warburton magazine about her famous ex. Although she did not give details, she hinted that the reports may have some substance.

“I haven’t spoken to Ellen in years,” she says. “I would listen to the people who did it.”
“If I’m standing somewhere and I don’t like what’s going on there and stay there, it’s my fault. So what are the actions that got me there and why can’t I get away with it easily if it’s not something I want to get involved in?
She added, “Ellen stands where she walks, and it’s up to her to continue this journey.”
