Britney Spears’ ex-manager posted a handful of private voicemails that allegedly contained the pop star’s audio unequivocally condemning her tutelage.
Sam Lufti, who claims to have directed the “Toxic” frontman between 2007 and 2008, allegedly disclosed four voicemail messages he received from Spears. The voicemail messages, which leaked in a series of Instagram posts, are believed to date from 2009.
“I want to get out of this tutelage,” says a woman, presumably Spears, in the first audio clip. “I was blackmailed into visiting my babies through guardianship. I am confined, restricted and stripped of my civil rights. And I am asking the State of California to look into this matter because I think it is. illegal. Bye. “
In a second post, Spears appears to be attempting to confirm that the process of removing his father from guardianship is underway.
“My dad threatened me several times, you know he’s going to kidnap my kids,” she said in the recording. “I just want to be sure that everything will go well with the process and that you take care of everything, that things will stay the same until my call time.”
In a third message, she says she wants Jon Eardley and John Patterson to become her court-appointed lawyers. She also claims that she is being held against her will and cannot exercise any constitutional rights.
“There was never anyone inside who could help,” Lufti reportedly wrote on Instagram, referring to the singer’s guardianship issues. “These calls are on my phone, these calls cost me a ton of money in court, tarnished my name again but also tore my soul apart, I didn’t know who to turn to, no one was listening, no one was seemed to care.
Over the years, Spears’ parents Lynne and Jamie have blamed Lufti for the pop star’s nervous breakdown in 2007. The Spears family filed an injunction against Lufti in June 2019.
