Just hours after his public release as gay, former The Bachelor star Colton Underwood struck a deal for a new Netflix reality show.
Details of the new series remain scarce, although Variety reports that the series will air multiple episodes and focus on Underwood’s public life as a gay male. Sources also reveal that openly gay former Olympian Gus Kenworthy will also play a major role in the series, acting as a sort of mentor for Underwood.

Netflix has yet to officially comment on the show, although sources say it has already started filming.
Former NFL player and The Bachelor Season 23 star, Underwood stepped out in an interview with Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts on April 14. In the interview, he revealed his long struggle with his sexuality and his subsequent fame as a reality TV star.
“I ran away from myself for a long time and hated myself for a long time, and I’m gay. I accepted this earlier this year and dealt with it, ”Underwood told Roberts. “The next step in all of this was to let people know. I’m still nervous, but it’s been a trip for sure.
