Pop star and girlfriend Elon Musk, who hosted the Saturday Night Live episode tonight (May 8), made her very first appearance on the NBC show in a courtroom skit featuring a collection of Super Mario characters.
In the wacky sketch, she’s portrayed a not-so-innocent Princess Peach who gets caught having an alleged romance with her stepmother’s older brother, Luigi. Their accuser? Wario, of course, played by Musk.
Grimes knows a thing or two about video games far beyond Nintendo classics: The musician is avid gamer and cosplayer, and she recently lent her voice to the game Cyberpunk 2077, in which she plays a cyborg pop star. named Lizzy Wizzy.
Hours before taking the SNL stage, the “Delete Forever” singer teased her appearance in a series of photos posted to Instagram, the caption of which read, “Tune into SNL tonight to watch me try to act. ! “
