Lil Nas X just expertly trolled his enemies … once again

Baby Industry

Rapper Lil Nas X has once again made headlines for another premier comeback. Artist “Montero” applauded fellow rapper Boosie Badazz for attacking him with thinly veiled homophobic comments.

In a recent interview with Charlemagne tha God on The Breakfast Club podcast, Boosie doubled down on previous comments from an Instagram video in which he claimed that Lil Nas X’s outspoken homoeroticism had damaged straight viewers.

“On the video you said, ‘People try to be straight; »How do you try to be straight? If you’re straight, you don’t have to try to be, ”Charlemagne reminded Boosie.

“I’m just saying… if your kids are watching TV, if you’re trying to raise strong young black men, would you – would you be cool with your kids watching him?” Boosie objected.

“Strong black men …” Charlemagne began.

“Would you be cool, if you tried to raise them, would you be cool with Nas X to go out there and get naked?” Boosie asked again.

“What age are we talking about? Charlemagne asked.

“You are part of the problem,” Boosie accused.

Charlemagne then added that it depended on the age of the children involved – that at a certain age children are ready to accept a certain degree of sexuality, regardless of their sexual orientation. He further pointed out that much of hip-hop and rap contains violent, misogynistic and homophobic imagery, which is much more bewildering than a naked gay man.

“We have seen a lot worse,” said Charlemagne.

Lil Nas X appeared to mock the exchange. He tweeted a four minute video of the interview, captioned “wow …. this is insane. Almost as crazy as my new single” industry baby “which is out now!

Nas also included a link to the video, natch.

He also followed later the same day in a slightly more assertive manner. “What you say about me would drive me crazy if I didn’t love myself already,” he noted.

Well said. In recent months, Lil Nas X has come under criticism from other black, male hip-hop artists, including Boosie Badazz, who attacked him for displaying male sexuality in his performances. Badazz worried aloud that Lil Nas X’s music would make kids gay, saying, “In 10 years, it won’t be normal for a kid to be straight. You know, it’s sad, my brother. You all try to force it on these children, my brother. You know? ”The rapper made the comments while defending fellow rapper DaBaby, who had also been criticized for homophobic comments made on stage at a festival in Miami.
