Senator Lindsey Graham announced yesterday that he had tested positive for the coronavirus and was showing “flu-like symptoms”.

“I have just been informed by the doctor of the House that I have tested positive for # COVID19 even after having been vaccinated. I started having flu-like symptoms on Saturday night and went to the doctor this morning, ”the South Carolina Anti-Gay Senator tweeted.

I have just been informed by the doctor of the House that I have tested positive for # COVID19 even after having been vaccinated.

I started having flu-like symptoms on Saturday night and went to the doctor this morning.

In a follow-up tweet, Graham, a frequent peddler of the Wuhan lab leak conspiracy theory, said he had only mild symptoms and was grateful to be vaccinated because “without vaccination , I’m sure I wouldn’t feel as good as I do now. “

I feel like I have a sinus infection and at the moment I have mild symptoms.

I will be in quarantine for ten days.

I am very happy to have been vaccinated because without vaccination I am sure I would not feel as well as I do today.

My symptoms would be much worse.

According to CNN, Graham, who refused to take a COVID-19 test before arguing with his Democratic challenger Jaime Harrison last summer, likely caught the virus while attending a boat party on Senator Joe’s houseboat Manchin this weekend.

(For the record: this was NOT the same boat party as the one with the “Demon Twink,” in case anyone was wondering.)

Manchin told reporters yesterday he tested negative for the virus. He also downplayed the story of the boat party, saying there were “no celebrations.” Instead, it was just a bunch of good old boys hanging out and doing good old boy things.

“We’re just trying to keep people together,” he said. “We do everything in a bipartisan way and that’s what we do.”

Graham’s groundbreaking infection comes shortly after the CDC updated its guidelines to recommend even fully vaccinated people wear masks indoors in areas with high numbers of coronavirus cases.

Serious breakthrough infections are still considered extremely rare. More than 99.99% of people who are fully vaccinated have not had a rupture leading to hospitalization or death.

Even though he hates us, we wish Graham a speedy recovery.
