Although Meghan Markle was unable to attend Prince Philip’s funeral, she reportedly spoke to the Queen ahead of her service.
On Wednesday April 21, an insider revealed to People that Meghan had spoken to her grandmother and kept in touch during this difficult time.
“Meghan spoke with Harry ahead of her grandfather’s funeral,” a source told the outlet. “Meghan and Archie also spoke with the Queen earlier this week.”
The insider added that Meghan and Harry have been in constant contact during her trip back to the UK. “She knows the trip to England has been difficult for Harry,” they added. “He didn’t want to leave Meghan and Archie alone. Meghan insisted every day that they were fine. She didn’t want him to worry.”
Meghan also watched the funeral service from her and Harry’s home in Montecito, California. She is pregnant with their second child and is due later this summer. Her doctor was unable to allow her to attend the funeral as she is quickly approaching her due date.
The couple revealed they were expecting a baby girl during their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey. They also indicated that this will be their last child and that he will not try to have more in the future.
