Matthew Perry has apparently dipped his toes into the world of online dating.
Earlier this week, TikTok user @KittyNichole posted a video of an alleged FaceTime chat with former friend Friends on the video sharing app. The couple reportedly corresponded on celebrity dating app Raya.
“When you team up with Matthew Perry like a joke on a dating app and he faces you and plays 20 questions with you,” she captioned the video.
In the clip, Perry can be seen on the woman’s laptop screen, smiling at her with his head cradled in his hand. He appears to be lying down or lying down.
“Do you always play with your hair this way?” he asks.
“Uh, I guess so,” she replies, laughing.
The user has since deleted the TikTok, although the images can still be viewed on the Daily Mail. It’s also unclear when the conversation took place, as Perry is currently engaged to Molly Hurwitz, a talented manager and producer. The couple first started dating in 2018 and got engaged last November.
Us Weekly reported that Perry and Hurwitz briefly split in May 2020. An insider told the outlet that at the time he was back on Raya “messaging girls and going back to dating again. online”.
But Perry isn’t the only celebrity who has recently been sidelined for using Raya.
Another TikTok user also revealed that Ben Affleck is also on the dating app. User thought she was being cat-fished by someone using Affleck’s photos, so the actor snuck into his Instagram DMs and sent her a video asking why she hadn’t matched him , proving it had been him from the start.
Meanwhile, Chrissy Teigen has tweeted that it’s “cheesy” to share a celebrity’s private messages just for the sake of social media influence.
