Nightbirde remains optimistic after receiving negative health updates that prompted her to step down from America’s Got Talent.
On Wednesday (August 4), Golden Buzzer winner Simon Cowell, real name Jane Marczewski, spoke with CNN reporter Chris Cuomo to reveal the reason she had to quit the competition. Last week, she received the shocking news that her cancer had “taken over” her lungs and liver.
“So my liver right now is mostly cancer. There is more cancer than liver right now,” Marczewski explained, “But like I said, I’m planning my future, not my inheritance. people would call it blind denial. I prefer to call it rebellious hope. And I won’t stop anytime soon.
Cuomo asked how she stays positive in the face of such hard news, she explained that it was her choice and her state of mind that got her through it all.
“When you go through something so devastating it just doesn’t make sense, there are no answers, you kind of have a choice, like, am I going to get bitter or not? She explained.
“You have a choice, you know? You decide what becomes of you in a way and, you know, I decided in my most painful moments to keep my eyes open because it’s easier. It’s easier to close your eyes and let go and forget about it, but there is so much beauty and poetry to be seen in the world if you are willing to accept the pain it takes to stay awake in the middle. of something that hurts so badly, that’s all. Anyone can do it, ”she added.
In an interview with PopCrush in July, Marczewski explained that she had first undergone chemotherapy earlier in the year. She switched to a “functional-holistic” treatment which provided fewer side effects, which allowed her to work on her music.
Nightbirde also revealed that she has a vision for a tour with quite a stage and new music that she is set to release.
