How does Selena Gomez post on Instagram if she doesn’t have her own password?
On Thursday (August 19), she posted an interview with the fifth most followed person currently on Instagram. The Only Murders in the Building star revealed she doesn’t have the social media app on her cell phone. In 2017, she decided to give her assistant the passwords for her social media accounts. Gomez still writes the captions and photos but doesn’t do the actual post.
“I don’t have it on my phone so there is no temptation,” she explained. “I suddenly had to learn to be with myself. It was boring because in the past I could spend hours looking at other people’s lives. I found myself almost two years in the News Feed. from someone, then I would realize, “I don’t even know that person! Now I’m getting the information the right way. When my friends have something to say, they call me up and say, ‘Oh , I did that. ”They don’t say, ‘Wait, did you see my post?’”
Like most people, when she was on social media, she often compared herself to others.
“I have spent years of my life trying to be like other people. I saw a picture and I was like, “My God, why don’t I look like this? “None of this was good for me,” she shared.
Gomez wants people to “remember me for my heart” after he leaves. Letting go on social media also allows her to become both a better person and more present in her everyday life. Although she doesn’t use social media like typical users, she tries to focus on promoting her charitable activities on the platform.
“If something good doesn’t come out of this, I won’t. I don’t need the money. I need people who want to fight with me,” she said.
