In the UK being gay isn’t something people react to like they do in Jamaica so I wouldn’t feel as pointless as some Jamaicans go out of their way to make someone feel. I’m sure my sexuality won’t matter. I hope to inspire people not only to see themselves in me, but to be motivated to love and care for themselves in a way that allows them to live fully and live their happiest and happiest lives. especially young black gay men and women in the Caribbean, whether they are outside or not. I know the world often tries to intimidate and shut you down because they have this weird idea of what a gay man is. Being gay doesn’t mean that I want to be a girl or that I’m weak or that I want to be a man. People hear the term gay and immediately start thinking sexually and it’s weird that they’re doing that. Gender identity and sexuality are two different things, and the gender role is also up to the person to choose.
