BIOGRAPHY OF ANDREA ADRIATICO
Director, Journalist. Born in 1966, he graduated from the Antoniana Academy of Dramatic Art in Bologna. He later graduated from DAMS. He works as a video art teacher at the Academy of Fine Art in L’Aquila. As an author and director, he made his first work in 1989: “Beckett’s Ashes”. Later he became director of Santarcangelo dei Teatri, taking care of the production of five shows in two years. In 1991 he founded the theater company Riflessi. In 1992 he founded a new theater in Bologna: Teatri di Vita, becoming its artistic director in 1998. His debut in cinema was in 2000 with the direction of “Anarchie, what remains of liberté, égalité, fraternité”. He wins the prize for ‘the best artistic contribution’ at the national competition of the Archipelago Film Ferstival 2002 in Rome with “The car of silence” (2002) and numerous prizes in Italy and abroad with “Pugni” (2002), a short film invited to the 59th Venice International Film Festival 2002 and to the Los Angeles Italian Film Award 2003. The first feature film “Il vento, di sera” (2003), was invited to the Berlin Film Festival 2004 and won the Golden Rose , first prize at the Roseto Opera Prima Festival, as best debut film.
